Season 3 Gundam Champion Spotlight: Fylthe

Season 3 Mission Complete
A flexible deck lineup, strong fundamentals and a willingness to adapt carried Fylthe to the top of Tilted Gaming’s Season 3 Gundam leaderboard.
Congratulations to Fylthe, winner of the Tilted Gaming Season 3 Gundam Leaderboard! Rather than committing to a single strategy for the entire season, Fylthe rotated between Londo Bell, Strike Freedom and Strikeden, choosing the deck that best suited the competition ahead.
Mission Debrief 01
Fylthe does not typically remain locked into one deck. His most-played choices during Season 3 were Londo Bell, Strike Freedom and Strikeden, giving him experience across several approaches rather than relying on only one familiar list.
Mission Debrief 02
Two on-curve links stood out as especially important to Fylthe’s success: Strike Freedom with Kira and Nu Gundam with Amuro. Hitting either combination at the right time helped his decks establish the value and tempo needed to take control.
Mission Debrief 03
Strike Freedom was the matchup Fylthe viewed as the season’s biggest pressure point. Building specifically to answer it could improve that matchup, but doing so created another problem: Mobile Fighters became much harder to handle.
In Fylthe’s view, the new set brought a noticeable increase in overall power, while Strike Freedom’s top end delivered a level of value that the rest of the field struggled to match.
Season 3 Meta Report
“Strike Freedom top end dominated the scene. The power creep of the set was pretty evident, but there’s nothing comparable to the value of Strike Freedom.”
Mission Debrief 04
Fylthe felt the restriction targeting aggressive strategies was unnecessary with Mobile Fighters and Widespread Annihilation entering the format. From his perspective, reducing those aggressive options contributed to Strike Freedom blocker-focused builds becoming even more difficult to stop during the season.
Mission Debrief 05
Fylthe’s favorite part of Season 3 was not one particular match. It was the opening stretch, when players arrived with fresh ideas, tested new decks and worked together to discover what the new meta would become.
Mission Debrief 06
Fylthe’s first recommendation is simple: practice. That can mean playing Mobile Suit Arena, meeting friends for in-person games or using a simulator such as Wingtable.
Play consistently in person or online so common lines and matchups become familiar.
Meta or non-meta, enjoying your deck makes you more likely to keep learning its intricacies.
Community Shoutout
Fylthe gave a special shoutout to Tovar. His commitment to Strikeden and the improvement he showed throughout the season inspired Fylthe to consider sticking with one deck next season. Fylthe also congratulated Tovar on his engagement!
