Season 0 of the Riftbound Leaderboard marks a major milestone for Tilted Gaming! Our very first leaderboard season across all games. Over the course of the season, players competed weekly during Nexus Nights, earning points through consistent attendance and strong finishes.

After weeks of competition, Lawrence Cao claimed the top spot, securing Rank #1 and becoming the first-ever Riftbound Leaderboard Champion at Tilted Gaming.

After securing the top spot for our first-ever season, we sat down with Lawrence to talk about the win, motivation, and thoughts on the Riftbound leaderboard system.

Q: How do you feel about the win for our very first season, season 0?

A: Very excited, very honored to win the first season of Riftbound leaderboard.

Q: Have you done any other leaderboard style competition at other Local Stores?

A: No this is my first time.

Q: What kept you motivated and coming back to secure 1st place?

A: I guess the first winning the Nexus night brought me to 1st and i wanted to keep my name in top. Also the box for prizing is very generous.

Q: Did you feel like you wanted to keep using the same deck to secure the win and what's your plan for the new season?

A: For the first couple week i did just play Victor, the i switch to Lee sin deck to have fun, but i also won with it which is pretty crazy.

Q: Any tips you would like to give out for anyone else wanting to secure 1st next season?

A: Keep showing up for every tournament.

Q: We are now going into our official first season and will have new seasons quarterly, are you ready to compete again?

A: Unfortunately i will be missing out most of the store tournaments in Feb due to multiple regionals took place at the month and i have to travel to compete.

Q: Do you think the leaderboard system makes the local events more competitive or fun?

A: Yes definitely more competitive. But at the same time its fun to see people show up with variety of decks.

Q: As this was our very first season, Do you have any feedback on the leaderboard system?

A: The system is great!

Q: Any shoutouts for the season you want to give?

A: Shoutout to everyone who came to shop and play nexus night, really having fun time being in the shop!
