Adrian T claimed first place at our Tuesday Night Lorcana Locals with a clean and calculated Emerald/Sapphire control deck. After joining Tilted Gaming just a few months ago, Adrian has quickly become part of the community, bringing family energy, competitive spirit, and a deck that gets stronger every week.

We interviewed Adrian after his win to talk about deck strategy, clutch moments, and the growth of our Lorcana scene here at Tilted Gaming Cerritos.

Q: What’s your name and carde.io nickname?

A: Hi everyone, my name is Adrian Tellez, I go as AdrianT or sometimes XxVeNoMxX.

Q: How long have you been coming to Tilted Gaming?

A: I've been coming for about 3–4 months. Josh reached out and invited us and we’ve never left since. The owners and event runners are great - I can see this game growing here.

Q: How did you get into playing Lorcana?

A: I started playing Lorcana when it released, not competitively but more for family game night. Got my whole family into it and now they all come to compete here.

Q: Disney fan? Favorite character?

A: My favorite character is Tarzan, even though he isn’t in Lorcana (yet!).

Q: What ink colors did you use tonight?

A: I ran Emerald/Sapphire because I love controlling the game with great removal and fast ramp.

Q: Why this deck?

A: It's not simple but the ramp must show up, but when it does, the deck feels amazing.

Q: How has Fabled & Whispers affected your deck?

A: The new set made this deck go from barely played to a legitimate contender.

Q: Toughest matchup?

A: Sapphire/Steel Detective/Location deck from Rickchronicles. Had me on the ropes!

Q: MVP cards?

A: Basil Undercover Detective and John Silver. Once they hit board, instant impact.

Q: Any upcoming events you're excited for?

A: Set Champs! Excited to test this deck against Jen, Rick, Ash, Josh, and Alex, my annoying brother.
