Season 0 of the Flesh and Blood Armory Leaderboard marks a big milestone for Tilted Gaming, our very first leaderboard season for FaB at the shop. Across the quarter, Armory nights stayed competitive, attendance stayed strong, and the race for Rank #1 stayed close.

After the season wrapped, we sat down with Clark to talk rivalry, motivation, deck choices, and what he’d change for future seasons.

 

🏆 Winner Interview — Flesh and Blood Armory Leaderboard Season 0

Q: How do you feel about the win for our very first season, season 0?

A: Well enough I suppose. Han, the runner up, won more armories than me but I had the better attendance.

Q: Have you done any other leaderboard style competition at other Local Stores?

A: Nothing like this!

Q: What kept you motivated and coming back to secure 1st place?

A: Han really wanting to take that 1st place spot. We often compete at armories but he typically comes out on top. Here I had a chance to “beat” him without having to win a bunch of games against him.

Q: Did you feel like you wanted to keep using the same deck to secure the win and what's your plan for the new season?

A: I did! For one, I love how Flesh and Blood rewards specialists so sticking with the same deck opens up all sorts of nuanced learning opportunities. In the next season I'll probably keep playing Kayo. I need practice for RTNs.

Q: Any tips you would like to give out for anyone else wanting to secure 1st next season?

A: Learn the local meta and don't be afraid to bring in that weird tech piece.

Q: We are now going into our official first season and will have new seasons quarterly, are you ready to compete again?

A: Yes|No|Kinda|Sorta. This next quarter is very dense with lots of events, RTN season leads into Compendium of Rathes release and PQ Las Vegas all the while I'm attending AGE… There's a lot of competitive Flesh and Blood to be played.

Q: Do you think the leaderboard system makes the local events more competitive or fun?

A: Definitely more competitive for those engaged and it can make for fun moments where someone can “end” a run or cause an upset.

Q: As this was our very first season, Do you have any feedback on the leaderboard system?

A: Draws are whacky in FaB’s Bo1 format so it’d be nice if something could be done to encourage taking a game to completion rather than taking the draw.

Q: Any shoutouts for the season you want to give?

A: Perpetually Han. But I also want to shout out the homies Joe, Chan, and Richard for always being a joy to pair into.

When the season wrapped up, Clark Moore secured Rank #1, becoming the first-ever Flesh and Blood Armory Leaderboard Champion at Tilted Gaming.
